Cognitive Functions and Emotional Peculiarities in the Aging Process and Assistance to Clients

The association MIND BEES organized training on 26 March on the topic “Cognitive Functions and Emotional Peculiarities in the Aging Process and Assistance to Clients”, where social work specialists from Šiauliai, Telšiai, Skuodas, Kelmė and Joniškis districts participated.

During the training we introduced the main features of gerontological social work to the participants, and presented the methods of working with older clients. Difficulties in communicating with elderly people and possible ways of improving the quality of communication with individuals experiencing cognitive and / or emotional difficulties were discussed. During the practical sessions, the participants had a possibility to try tasks which develop the skills of perception, memory, helping them to better understand the emotions which we feel in changes process to accept and adapt to the changes in life.

With great interest in the training, a new group of participants is gathered! Training is scheduled for April 25 in Šiauliai.
